Zorba
Plot 13 Malcom X Ave, Kampala, Uganda
About Zorba
Tucked away along Plot 13 on Malcolm X Avenue, Zorba has quietly carved out a reliable spot for anyone looking to unwind away from the heavier traffic of the main Kololo circuit. It strikes an easy balance between a laid-back lounge and a proper cocktail den, drawing a steady crowd that knows how to transition smoothly from a sluggish weekday afternoon into a lively evening out. The space feels intimate and uncluttered, making it an effortless choice when you need a break from the office or a low-key place to kick off the weekend.
The bar staff take their craft seriously, pouring precise measures behind a well-stocked counter where the cocktail list is broad enough to keep things interesting. Whether you are settling in with a sharp martini after a long day in the boardroom or grabbing a mid-week lunch that actually feels like a proper break, the kitchen and bar deliver without unnecessary fuss. It is an unpretentious address that fits just as easily into a Monday lunch routine as it does into a Saturday night meetup.

Lovely place. The only thing better than the music is the food. 🤭😍

One of the three ribs you will get for 66,000 UGX. Told the waiter, his feedback was that he had told the chef and that was it. Cocktails were good, served in the appropriate glasses.

EXTREMELY slow service! Food is good though. Very loud music, so don’t go here if you want to have meaningful conversations

I first came a few weeks ago, it was a great Saturday night. Finally felt like an nyc restaurant I’m accustomed to. Great lighting, great music, dinner doesn’t close by 10. I thought this would be our new go to dinner spot! How wrong I was. This Friday at 8pm, the music was so unbearably loud we couldn’t even wait for our friends to show up. You cannot have music to this level at only 8pm. People come to dinner to jazz, to catch up, to talk. They have taken a good restaurant and turned it into another bar. Drinking and shisha and loud DJ at 8pm. Like every other spot in Kampala. Great hangout for drinks and music. No longer a dining establishment.
