10/10 Habesha food. The shekla tibs and vegetable beyaynetu were incredible, especially with the awaze and mitmita. The live band gave the place such a great vibe. Loved the variety on the menu — definitely coming back.

Last night in Kampala, I found myself at Torino—and honestly, it’s the kind of place you stroll into “just to try it” and then end up staying way longer than planned. First thing you notice is the ambience. It’s warm, relaxed, and effortlessly put together—the sort of setting that makes you sink into your seat and start acting like you’ve got nowhere else to be. And the music? Chef’s kiss. Good tracks, good mood, and (thankfully) at the right volume. Loud enough to feel the vibe, soft enough to keep your conversation flowing without turning dinner into a debate competition. Now, let’s talk about the food—because Torino doesn’t do stingy portions. The plates come out generous and inviting, the kind that make you pause for a second like, “Okay… they’re not playing.” Everything tastes hearty and satisfying, and if you’re craving that comforting semblance of Ugandan food—those familiar, grounding flavors that feel like home—this spot absolutely hits the mark. If you’re in Kampala and you want a place that feels good, sounds good, and feeds you properly, Torino is a solid yes. Come hungry, come chilled, and give yourself time—you’ll want to linger.

Sticky pork ribs were really good, and this is one of the few places you can find a Hawaiian pizza in Uganda. Music was really loud, which makes it hard to talk, but it was quite entertaining.

be careful!! I visited on saturday 7th march with two other friends. wan't a good experience at all!! had white wine then ordered Bailey to the waitress “ can I have "A GLASS of Bailey “? Exact sentence, because I know Bailey is served in a Glass..waitress told me” “there are 8 shots in the glass of Bailey is that okay?” Exact sentence she said , which made me to think , in Torino bar, the way they serve Bailey is to put eight shots in a glass.. I said ok. I found out later she charged me 8 times of Bailey on my bill. Which is absolute trick and dishonesty .. i didn't ask for 8 glasses of bailey. that also didn;t mentioned on the menu that if you order a glass of bailey you will be charged 8 times more!!! Obviously she did it because I am a “Muzungu” the foreigner. If I was just a tourist visiting few days here , I would have also forgotten about it. But unfortunately I live and work in Kampala and I can not recommend this bar to any tourist or anyone that cheats foreigner this way .. they should “fire” such a waiters unless that’s how restaurant teach them to do to be increase the sales .. otherwise the food was good, atmosphere was good. i also liked the concert.

It is cool place, organized and spacious with a variety of delicious eats and drinks moreover at relatively low prices. Have you ever made an order and it takes ages that you have to stand up and look for the waiter? This place is totally different. These gents and ladies check on you almost every 3 minutes to ensure you are not complaining. If you love Sauna or steam bath, you are covered too Parking with security to ensure your car is safe Try it and tell me if I am wrong!! On point 👌👌👌👌
