About Thrones
Perched on Bandali Rise in Bugoloobi, Thrones has quietly nailed that sweet spot between a laid-back local watering hole and a serious weekend turn-up spot. Walk in any day of the week, and you will find a space that keeps its doors open around the clock, drawing in sports fans, after-work groups, and late-night crowds looking for solid energy without the pretension. The staff moves with a practiced, smiling efficiency, keeping the drinks cold and the tables clear even when the venue fills up for popular mid-week theme nights and DJ-led parties.
The menu leans into crowd-pleasing comfort food, with the pork ribs standing out as a genuine highlight—tender, falling off the bone, and packed with flavor. Pair those with a smooth cocktail or a reasonably priced cold drink, settle into one of the distinct seating areas, and let the soundtrack of the night take over. Between the reliable security, clean facilities, and a crowd that genuinely knows how to have a good time, it is easy to see why this lounge has become a go-to anchor on the Bugoloobi social circuit.

Picture this, you’ve come to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, you’ve paid premium for the drinks so that you get the perfect seat in front of the available screens… match kicks off, but the DJ still keeps playing his set. Everyone around me is literally glued to the screen watching Spain square it out with Argentina… so you tell the waiter that we want to hear the commentary, we all literally came to watch the live match, then the waiter says that the management isn’t interested in what we want, that they have to stick to the program - DJ has to play his music during the match. It’s ridiculous. World Cup final doesn’t come every day!!! But the DJ can come every day! Would I come back here? Yes - only if I’m bored and there’s nowhere else to go. And especially not when there’s a WORLD CUP FINAL!!! The food was okay - happy that they accepted to redo the grilled beef that came out of the kitchen burnt.

The staff is really nice and courteous! The pork ribs were absolutely amazing! The meat fell off the bone and melted in my mouth with big flavor! Drinks were very reasonably priced and good hookah! Lots of fun.

I nearly bought shares! Best lounge to hang out in Kampala. Professional staff, fast service with a smile, best DJs, Dedicated spot for Sports lovers, clean toilets, plenty of security for safety, strategically located both to access and vacate. Best ambience. I loved it and I miss it!

Been here a couple of times and I love almost every thing. This time I tried this beautiful yummy cocktail that comes with a savanna cider drink. It is very smooth with a sweet taste with the ice. I recommend this cocktail 🍹 for y’all trying to go to this place. It costs 40k. The place is beautiful of course. On Sunday there’s one of my favorite DJcasibaby. Has about 3 sitting arrangements. So you choose where you want to hang. Enjoy 😊
