The Alchemist Kitchen

About The Alchemist Kitchen
Tucked away where the evening starts to properly take shape, The Alchemist Kitchen remains a familiar anchor for a solid night out in the city. If you swing by early in the day, it is quiet enough to catch your breath over a proper breakfast or a cold midday drink with plenty of parking to spare. But as the sun dips, the spot shifts gears nicely.
Midweek brings steady crowds drawn to taco specials and easy rounds of drinks, while the weekends pull in anyone looking to shake off the week with sets from resident DJs spinning a mix of hip hop, amapiano, and afrobeats. You can easily settle into the lounge seating with a mixed grill platter or a round of their signature craft cocktails while the terrace fills up with a lively mix of regulars and groups catching up.
Service is generally quick on its feet, and whether you are dropping in for after-work rum discounts on a Friday or just keeping it easy on a lazy afternoon, it delivers that reliable neighborhood tavern energy without trying too hard.

Amazing service right from the moment we walked in we were ushered to the sitting areas. The service was impeccable and very fast, waiters were friendly and would respond on time. We went for the taco Tuesday offer and they were good, the cocktail was decent as well. Definitely worth a visit

Nice bar. Vibe is good, big parking. Ordered mix platter. Food was just OK. Spicy chicken wings were really amazing. Good variety of alcohol drinks and cocktails. Staff can be little pushy sometimes. UPD: you cannot go there with children after 4 p.m. (

It's been 4 years since I was last here. This time, it was a Monday just before midday. So naturally, it was very quiet. I was pleased that we could still get a full English breakfast. The food was first class, and the service excellent. I need to remember this place, the next time I am in Kampala.

It was a satisfied experience for my first time to be there . The place has internal parking space , the food tastes good and the price is fair ,not busy in the day . Will try again in the evening.

Alchemist is one of the longest serving bars along Bandali Rise Bugolobi ( Looking for a party street in Kampala, type that in Google maps😄) The street stretches with over 7 bars and it's amazing how new places keep coming up. Anyway I have always loved Alchem and it's still a lovely place just that the crowd moved to the other new neighbouring bars. Was there with a couple of girlfriends afternoon to 10pm and the ambience is great for conversation. The drinks menu is friendly especially on the cocktails with some going for 15k and others 20k. I personally like strong cocktails and after 4 of them and still no heights I figured the price correlates with how much alcohol they Put. 🫠🤔 The food could have been better as the chicken wings I was served weren't fresh or Juicy but dry, another sign that I should maybe stop ordering for wings, Places seem to always get them off. 🤔 The service was available when we needed it and timely 💯
