I am really very glad to share my review about this wonderful place. It all started as a try out place for relaxing but little did I know it will become a favorite spot. Am very happy about the welcoming atmosphere and the cool environment around the whole place. Unfortunately I am not able to swim but hopefully I will be taught one day. Thanks very much for the wonderful services and am always grateful 🥰.

When we arrived at Kabira Country Club on 22 May 2026, I have to admit I didn’t have particularly high expectations, mainly because of some of the things I had heard about Uganda. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I was travelling with my two little girls, who were visiting Uganda for the very first time, and without a doubt, Kabira Country Club was the highlight of our holiday. They absolutely loved every moment of our stay, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made our family feel completely at home. From the moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed by the genuine hospitality. Every single member of staff made us feel valued. From the management team to the housekeeping staff, everyone was friendly, professional, and always greeted us with a smile. A special mention goes to beautiful Sarah at reception. She was absolutely wonderful, always checking that everything was okay whenever we walked past reception, and she never failed to greet us with a warm smile. Rosette, also at reception, was equally impressive—professional, efficient, and always willing to go above and beyond to help. They are both a real credit to the hotel. The restaurant staff were fantastic, always attentive and cheerful, and the chefs prepared delicious meals throughout our stay. I also have to mention Othieno at the bar, whose charm and friendly personality made every visit enjoyable. There were only two minor areas that I think could be improved. Firstly, the bar closes quite early. It would be nice if the opening hours could be extended by at least another hour for hotel residents. Secondly, I was a little disappointed that the swimming pool was open to walk-in visitors. As hotel guests paying a premium to stay at the property, I felt the pool should be reserved exclusively for residents, rather than being shared with members of the public who can access it for just $5. Apart from these small points, everything else was superb. The outstanding customer service, friendly atmosphere, and excellent hospitality made our stay truly memorable. Thank you to everyone at Kabira Country Club for making our first family trip to Uganda such a wonderful experience. I would happily recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Kampala, and I will definitely be returning.

I love the heated pool. Another thing I appreciated is that the pool area is restricted to swimmers only, so no one comes to gaze at others. This makes it comfortable. The kids pool is great as well and they have many lovely life savers available

I have visited Kabira Club countless times for swimming. From the beginning, I often felt an unwelcoming atmosphere, with some reception staff coming across as cold and unfriendly. However, I continued going because it is the closest facility to my home with a heated swimming pool. What finally pushed me to write this review was an experience involving my 6-year-old sister. I took her there for swimming and was told at reception that I could not sit on a bench to supervise her unless I paid the full swimming fee of UGX 40,000, despite having no intention of entering the pool myself. I found this policy unreasonable. Are parents and guardians expected to leave young children unattended or pay a swimmer's fee simply to watch them? It was extremely disappointing. Another incident occurred after one of my swimming sessions. I needed to use a hair dryer before leaving. The cleaning staff informed me that the only available hair dryers were located in the gym. When I went there, I was stopped at reception and told I would have to pay an additional fee to access the hair dryer because it was considered a gym facility. As a paying swimming customer, I found it strange that such a basic amenity was unavailable in the swimming area and inaccessible without extra charges. These experiences left me feeling that customer satisfaction is not a priority. Rather than creating a welcoming environment and encouraging customer loyalty, there seems to be a focus on charging extra fees wherever possible. It is disappointing because the facility itself has potential, but good facilities alone cannot make up for poor customer service and policies that leave customers feeling undervalued. I have traveled extensively and experienced excellent hospitality in many places, which makes the contrast even more noticeable. Unfortunately, my experiences at Kabira Club have consistently left me feeling unwelcome and unappreciated as a customer.
