Kick-off Sports Bar and Grill
Kyebando - Kisalosalo Rd, Kampala, Uganda
About Kick-off Sports Bar and Grill
Tucked away along the Kyebando and Kisalosalo road stretch, Kick-off Sports Bar and Grill has easily earned its reputation as a proper neighborhood anchor for anyone chasing a genuine Kampala match-day atmosphere. It is the kind of laid-back local spot where screens light up for major football fixtures, drawing crowds ready to argue over referee calls and share a round of ice-cold beers. Beyond the sports screenings, the calendar stays packed with a rotating lineup of events that keeps the energy high well into the night. Wednesdays bring out the trivia crowd for lively quiz nights, while Thursdays pull in music lovers for open mic sessions and live band performances featuring local artists. On any given weekend, you might stumble into a vibrant flea market during the afternoon or find the space shifting gears for late-night dancehall and amapiano sets. Service is polite, the crowd is effortlessly approachable, and the kitchen turns out solid comfort food like juicy beef burgers to soak up the drinks. Whether you are catching a game or just settling in for a midweek band night, it is a reliable spot to plug into the local rhythm.

Perfect spot for any fun event, Thursday live bands, Wednesday quiz nights, it's all worth it. Any time you feel like you want to grab a beer, kickoff bar is the hot spot for you. Delicious food too btw.

Great quiz nights on Wednesday nights with Jay and Thursday band nights every week! Such a good vibe every time - people are always super friendly and approachable. My absolute go to spot in Kampala!

One of the guests at the table next to ours smoked weed, and no-one said anything. Yet, they have several security guards and waiters. They also don't have printed menus. We had to get up from our table and walk up to the whiteboard with the menu near the entrance. The food was excellent, though (I had a beef burger). The weekly Saturday art event with the Kyoto Foundation is quite interesting, too. It's very good that they host such events (that's what made me come).

This is a nice little local sports bar. Only had a late night drink on my way back from airport so had missed the poker night activities. I ddnt order any food.
