About Nomad Bar
If you are looking for a spot that keeps its energy high all week long, Nomad Bar is hard to miss. Tucked into a familiar corner of the city, this expansive open-air lounge routinely draws a lively mix of locals and expats who come for the dependable music rotation and easygoing atmosphere. Whether you are catching a laid-back Tuesday with live band performances or wading into the packed weekend crowds during signature nights like Swift Friday and The After Dark, the venue reliably delivers a bustling social scene.
The space handles big groups easily, offering plenty of seating options, a well-stocked bar, and a steady soundtrack managed by resident and guest DJs. While weekends can get shoulder-to-shoulder with partygoers dancing beneath the lights, weekdays offer a bit more breathing room to catch up over drinks and quick bites. It is an unpretentious go-to where the crowd brings the main event energy, making it a solid baseline for a classic Kampala night out.

I can’t say enough good things about nomad bar. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was perfect—warm lighting, great music at just the right volume and a crowd that seemed genuinely happy to be there. The drink menu is creative without being pretentious. I tried the bartender’s special drink and it was easily one of the best cocktails I’ve had all year. They clearly use fresh ingredients and know how to balance flavors. If you’re not into cocktails, their beer and wine selection is solid too. What really stood out was the service. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, caring and took the time to recommend drinks based on what I liked. Even when it got busy, they never made anyone feel rushed. Whether you’re looking for a low-key after-work drink, a fun date spot, or a place to catch up with friends, nomad delivers. Can’t wait to go back.

This place was once the go-to-hangout in Kansanga. Good seating options, full time Deejay and a well stocked bar. I went for cocktails, but they were mediocre. Nothing to write home about on that front, save for the good music. Went on a Thursday, so it wasn't full and the waitresses paid us all the attention we wanted.

It's packed on weekends though alot of price discrimination is practiced. People sit basing on what they are having. Big place, lots of activity, busy, expats too, quick food, quick drinks, plenty of eye candy and decent security. I'd recommend it for 18 to 40 year olds ... The age group that appears to frequent it. I enjoyed, it holds 300+ people.

Last went when Fave came in. They have random artists come in to perform and boy oh boy it's big.

Service is great, music is amazing because they play a variety, the ambience is perfect. Parking is available, each day has a theme making it so much fun. The washrooms are clean and food is available on order. There is a car wash and their service is great.
