About Khana Khazana
Tucked away along John Babiha Avenue, Khana Khazana has long been a reliable anchor for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in central Kampala. The setting feels distinct right as you step in, surrounded by lush greenery, spotless surroundings, and subtle nods to traditional craftsmanship like an imported antique chair swing. It is the kind of spot that easily transitions from a relaxed family lunch to a steady evening gathering for anyone staying nearby.
The menu covers all the essential ground with confidence, delivering consistently flavorful curries, smoky tandoori chicken, and rich portions of biryani that keep regulars coming back. Service is prompt and polite, anchored by knowledgeable staff who know the dishes inside out. While the bar handles a wide array of professionally garnished cocktails, the real focus remains squarely on the kitchen's aromatic spices and hearty portions of naan. It is comfortable, welcoming, and simply a staple of the neighborhood dining scene.

Good place in central Kampala. The staff is polite. Vibe is an authentic Indian. Food is close to original but less spicy than in India. Some problems with alcoholic cocktails, far from the recipe (tried whiskey sour). Many flees.

Food was pretty good, flavours on point, biryani was great, palak paneer was really good, though the lamb chops were not tender enough, a bit chewy for my liking 4.5/5. Portion sizes were modest depending on the fish. Ambiance was nice and service 5/5 was very good 5/5
