Aura Lounge
Plot 19 John Babiha (Acacia) Ave, Kampala, Uganda
About Aura Lounge
If you are navigating the steady hum of Acacia Avenue, you cannot easily miss the scale of Aura Lounge. Step past the entrance on John Babiha and you immediately encounter a sprawling, high-budget interior where deep purple lights wash over rows of premium bottles and plush booth seating. It is a space built for unhurried socializing early in the evening before shifting gears entirely once the clock ticks closer to midnight.
Nights here run the gamut from the heavy-hitting crowds of Choplife Sunday to weekend sessions featuring guest selectors on the decks. The crowd comes dressed to be seen, filling the spacious floor with an unmistakable energy as cocktails and champagne flow well into the morning hours. While service can occasionally catch a lag when the rooms reach peak capacity, the overall atmosphere carries that distinct pulse of upscale Kampala nightlife where a simple night out quickly turns into a late-night affair.

Very bad security?? Kept shouting at us for no reason , plus since when do you not allow people to smoke normal cigarettes at club ????? And he even pulled my friend down and hurting her hand and twisted it because she was standing up even tho everyone was up so what’s the issue !! Ewwwwwwwwwwwww Used to love it but definitely NOT ANYMORE

I see great potential in this place... The setting is so well done and so spacious. You can just see that a lot of money has been injected in the place to make it look as good as it looks. The vibe is on point even though it's a new place, with a new setting(I think there are many former loyal members of the old place) There was a crowd just vibing to the mood of the place. There is currently no entrance fee and I hope it keeps up with that. And also enough staff to keep the tables running. The mood was just right. I found myself watching the matches on the TVs which I never do when alone so I should say there is something right cooking here. The drinks are priced at upscale prices, because the place obviously screams upscale, but it's worth it. There are enough tables to sit if you get there before the crowd grows. A VIP section next to the DJ box. There are meals served here too so don't be hungry. All in all, I hope to see what this place turns out to be a few months from now.

The place is so lit on Sundays. There is nothing much happening on Saturdays and Fridays. They got the best djs in town, celebrities are often spotted there, etc. This is a classy spot if you are looking for one. You either have to make a reservation ahead of time, or go there early for you to get one as it gets crowded at around midnight till late.

Aura Lounge has a nice setup and good music, but the service can be a bit slow sometimes. The place looks great, but it gets a little too crowded on weekends. Drinks are fine, just a bit pricey. Overall, it’s okay for hanging out once in a while, but not the best experience.
