About Nawab's
Perched on the second-floor rooftop of Acacia Mall, Nawab's Asian Bistro offers one of the most reliable vantages for taking in the Kampala skyline as the sun goes down. The decor leans a bit lived-in and classic rather than trendy, but locals keep coming back for the sprawling open-air terrace seating, secure parking, and the steady breeze that rolls across Kololo during dinner hours.
Menus focus on dependable Indian and Asian favourites, from comforting curries and fresh naan to signature cocktails poured from a well-stocked bar. It is the kind of neighborhood fixture where weekends bring a livelier energy, often accompanied by live band performances or acoustic sets that drift across the rooftop tables. Whether you are settling in for a casual evening of spicy food and drinks or catching up with friends over weekend football screenings, the space delivers an easygoing night out high above the traffic.

This is the second time I have eaten at Nawabs at Acacia Mall in Kampala. The food and view are excellent, and reasonably priced. The balcony tables give an excellent view across Kampala. Their curries are excellent and never disappoint. I would suggest that the waiting-on staff are trained regarding the wine list. They struggled to tell me what sort of grape the house wine was.

Nawab Asian Bistro is one of my favourite Asian restaurants in Uganda. Great location on top of Acacia mall in Kololo. Really good safe and secure parking and easy access. The restaurant it’s self is a bit dated, the decor is a bit old and probably need a revamp if you ask me. But the food is really nice, I’ve tried loads of things from the menu and you honestly can’t go wrong if you like Asian food. I love spicy food so please make sure to let the waitresses know how spicy you like it. The views from the outdoor space are really nice, you also get a lovely sunset. Time it right and it will make the evening that little bit more special. Customer service was good, friendly and helpful, they just need to be a bit more attentive. Food didn’t take too long to be served and tasted fresh so I can’t complain. Prices are reasonable too, expect to pay around £20-30 for a 3 course meal and drinks for 2. Definitely some work to be done on the interior, really needs updating. Food wise really good 4 stars for me.

I never like posting negative reviews but we had a bad experience ordering food here. Both (vegetarian) portions we received were extremely small, boxes not even half full. The navarathan korma was missing filling, no nuts or fruits to be found. Perhaps they were out of stock this evening but this was not acceptable.

Common food for Asian. Additional, the place is better than you expect. One side of restaurant is opened site all over. But amount of food is not so much. for taste? I have no idea, just not special. they can give you a hand as a service.
