La Cueva is one of the most unique and relaxing spots in Kampala. The ambiance is warm, artistic, and beautifully designed — it gives a calm, almost hidden-gem vibe that makes you want to stay longer. The food is well-prepared and flavorful, with generous portions and a presentation that feels thoughtful. Whether you're going for a casual lunch, dinner with friends, or a relaxed evening out, the atmosphere fits perfectly. The drinks and bar service are also impressive, with a good variety to choose from. Customer service stands out — the staff are welcoming, attentive, and professional. Even when it gets busy, they handle guests with care. Overall, La Cueva offers a memorable dining experience. It’s a great place for conversations, celebrations, or simply enjoying good food in a comfortable environment.

The service is great, the seating and ambience is spot on and the food is a global and thoughtful selection. The banana pancakes were worth reordering, the bagel sandwich a bit dry, and the scramble a nice tasty dish.

Had dinner at this restaurant whilst on a business trip in Uganda. Wow, everything was great. The atmosphere and layout was stunning. The waiters and service we experienced was impeccable. As for the food, well that was a complete different story. The food was at another level. Hats off to their chefs as they sure know what they are doing. I had the full grilled tilapia and my colleague had the pan fried goat. And the side of plantain, well all I can say is, have it. Both dishes were worthy of being on any of the best restaurants globally. Would I recommend a meal there? Without a doubt - YES!!!
