About Frango by Cafesserie
Tucked away on the ground floor of Arena Mall in Nsambya, Frango by Cafesserie keeps things wonderfully simple for anyone whose day revolves around poultry. The draw here is straightforward comfort, anchored by flame-grilled chicken that arrives juicy on the inside with a sticky, charcoal-kissed exterior. You can dress your portion up with a range of house-made sauces that span from fresh herb and avocado to fiery piri piri.
Beyond the signature charcoal birds, the kitchen turns out a broad lineup that includes crispy fried pieces, loaded burgers, spicy buffalo wings, and hearty plates of kids mac and cheese smothered in four distinct cheeses. Pair your main with sides like signature mejadra rice, wedges, or a crisp super chic salad loaded with quinoa and feta if you are pacing yourself. Whether you are settling into a warm booth for lunch or ordering in through Glovo when the craving hits, it is an easygoing stop that consistently hits the spot.

I’m always greeted warmly by Immaculate, the lovely waitress. The chicken is cooked perfectly every time, the juices are fresh and tasty, and the mashed potatoes are spot on. I also like the variety of complimentary sauces. Service is always quick.

Duper salad it is! Just too awesome. Their chips are great too.

They have good chicken varieties and their mocha latte is great. I did not like their fish Portion was small and not as tasty as I ordered in other restaurants, their Veggies prep is sometimes not well done and some of the Veggies did not look fresh which I spoke to them about. Otherwise service is great and atmosphere is great.

So Frango was a place that's been around for a while but for some reason I just never got around to going there. I finally decided to go check it out with a friend and honestly the place was not bad. The most important things about the place are good. The waiters are polite and actively serving everyone. They try their best to make sure everyone is well served. The food portions are nothing short of being large. That's something I really appreciated. The food tastes wonderful too. Especially their grilled chicken. Now the negatives. These negatives could have just been a bad day but for an honest review I had to mention them. The open kitchen is great but that day something got burned so the smoke from the kitchen filled the whole restaurant. I was given a seat and one leg of the chair was kind of broken so it kept limping throughout my dinner. Now the icing on the cake was we asked for our food to be packed as the food was quite alot. Mind you we had barely touched one of the plates we ordered. Getting home we discovered we had been given someone else's already eaten food. In summary the food was the highlight of the day but these other mishaps ruined the experience for me. Maybe on other day it'll be better

We were four in number and ordered bbq chicken pizza b4 our arrival and our space was reserved. We reached a little late but everything was as planned. They have the best pizza I have tasted in Kampala with the organically made toppings, actually their piec is 10k but trust me 2 pieces are just enough. There is good music and a cool environment. With enough privacy. They also have an outside seats.
